I'm a junior at Columbia University, and I have 3+ years of experience tutoring middle and high school students in a variety of subjects, including, math, english, and standardized test prep. I provide personalized support to all my students, and I see learning as a collaborative process that is most effective with input from myself, parents, and of course the student themselves.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally I start my either reviewing their grasp of the material they want to cover - any past experience, etc. Then work with them on figuring out how they learn best and come up with an individual plan for moving forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken the SAT and ACT, and spent a lot of time studying for both. In college, english and writing are most connected to my major, but I have a background in math and science as well.
