I am currently a College senior studying Computer Science with a Geoscience/Data Science minor at Drexel University. I have previous interned at the Environmental Defense Fund in China, which has given me some insight on the work culture there. During high school, I taught elders English at a local Chinese school. Here, I learned to be patient and to teach one-to-one. I now work at PJM as a data analyst alongside school. Outside of school, I have a passion for history, particularly American History and have extensively studied the American Civil...

Kangsoo Y. says, "We just moved to the US from Korea and the change has been very tough for my kids. They are not familiar with the US school system and falling behind. I saw their confidence draining. But all of that changed when SoFlo came into the picture. To start, they gave a free assessment so they could figure out where my children were struggling. From there we had weekly tutoring sessions that my kids actually enjoy. I am seeing their confidence return and life in the US get better for them" Read more

Luke C. says, "Dr. Seff is an excellent math teacher. My son was with Dr. Seff during his sophomore year and he finished the year with an overall A grade. He cares for the student and asks if my son was ill if he forgets to turn up. Also he often spent way over the allotted hour to explain concepts. Highly recommend Dr. Seff to any student who needs help in math." Read more

Christopher P. says, "Chris has been an absolute godsend for our son Joshua. He has given Joshua the boost in his confidence that he so desperately needed this year. But it was more than just working with our son to make sure he understood the content. Chris is beyond enthusiastic to be helping our son. He is prepared and committed to Joshua's success and insures that Joshua gets regular positive feedback from him. He was exactly what we needed. Chris comes to our house and spends as much time as needed. We are not held to a timed session. When he and Joshua feel they are at a good point, then the session is over. Chris not only helps Joshua out in Calculus but he has become an advisor. He has vast experience and a great friend network that he has shared with Joshua as he begins exploring colleges. These connections will be vital to Joshua's decisions in the future. I can't believe that I was lucky enough to find Chris on tutors.com. I will always be indebted to him for the difference he has made in our son's outlook this year." Read more

Mr. Thomas: A special thank you for your assistance with a spreadsheet project that I needed for work; you were able to provide me with valued assistance from functions and formulas and some of those functions were quite challenging and quite unfamiliar. I know that you burned the midnight oil to speed the turnaround of my many questions back to me and I am very grateful and inspired by your knowledge and work ethic. Thank you for your valued assistance; you are on my speed dial and Rolodex. With great appreciation,

I procrastinated too long to study for my math ged test, I had about 10 days till test day. Charles took me on board and made himself as available as possible. I had no prior algebra knowledge and even most fraction or decimal multiplication had long left my brain. I have adhd and staying focused is hard, which is also a reason why I procrastinated. Charles had his eye on the price and wouldn’t let me chit chat too much. Which was insanely helpful. I can’t recommend Charles enough, without him I wouldn’t have been able to pass the math ged, let alone feel comfortable to take it in the first place. Worth his weight in gold, this tutor is.

Dr. Seff was amazing! My child was struggling in her 10th grade math class, especially with distance learning. I was hesitant to start her with an online tutor, however he made her feel comfortable right away. He explained everything in a way that she could understand, and she went from a D to an A+. He was flexible with his schedule and was able to add extra sessions when we needed them. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He scores an A+ from us! My daughter justasked me if she could get tutoring with him next year, too. That's amazing coming from a grouchy teenager...

Chris is a great guy, and an even better tutor. I’ve never had a tutor who was even in the same league as Chris when it comes to Teaching ability, communication skills, and mastery of mathematical subject matter. When I first enlisted Chris I had failed Calculus 1 four times and he helped me at the very end and I still failed but I started to understand what was going on. Brady I passed Calc 1 for the first time that summer one he could prepare and I got a B. Next he helped me with Calc 2 and I did so well I didn’t even need to take the final exam to pass the class and got a B! Next I passed Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations with his help during a global Pandemic! Chris is not perfect by any means, but he is the best. This was done at Penn State University by the way and was not easy but Chris made it possible and I will always be incredibly grateful for his hard work and determination. This guy is doing this for more than just the money, and derives real joy from helping other people learn and better themselves.

My children were having difficulty in European History. Sam spent four lessons with them and their grades improved. He was generous with his time and remains a close family friend even after my children graduated.
