Before I became a tutor I would attend different tutoring sessions weekly for about a year. Having the experience being tutored by multiple tutors I can use different techniques that I have learned throughout the process and it also helps me understand what the student is going through more that your average tutor. Being an undergrad also has its benefits since I can recall information better than a graduate student that hasn't seen the information in years.
