Social Studies, English, And Law Tutoring
About
I am a soon to be law school graduate located in Salem, Oregon. I have a bachelor's degree in History with minors in legal studies and political science. I spent one year of my undergraduate program focusing on best practices, teaching plans, state educational goals, and pedagogy for a variety of learning styles as well as assisting in classrooms with elementary aged children. I have experience in childcare on a non-academic level as well, which has furthered my understandings of how to effectively communicate with children and foster a trust relationship. Please feel free to reach out with any questions- I look forward to further communicating with you and your student!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students (and/or their parents) should meet me prior to making a commitment for tutoring. I want everyone to feel safe and trust that they are going to benefit from the work we do together, as well as talk about the areas we'd like to focus on. After our short meet and greet, I like to give students/guardians time to decide whether to move forward with the tutoring. Then, I will ask for any materials provided by the course instructor which will be necessary for understanding the goals of the course, and which specific assignments would be worked on with the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A. in History from Colorado State University
-includes minors in political science and legal studies as well as one year of educator training
J.D. from Willamette University College of Law
