I love seeing the light come on in a student's eyes that shows that they understand! I love seeing a student's skills develop and advance, giving them the chance to succeed in whatever they need or want to do, from passing courses and State Assessments for graduation requirements, to raising PSAT and SAT scores.

As a career teacher, I have the experience to tackle whatever challenge a student is facing in learning effective writing. I have worked with students with all sorts of needs, from executive functioning to confidence building.

Let my skills help you!

I am a senior in high school and I have been tutoring with Megan Trow for around 6-7 years now. I am of Chinese descent as well as bilingual. Megan is very much so knowledgeable and the materials that I have worked on with her include SAT, PSAT, as well as school subjects such as economics, history, science, theory, English, and any other courses, with the exception of math. I have definitely seen how her help has greatly improved my scores. Megan has been an important figure throughout my teen years as she has provided me with tons of emotional support. She has given me many tools and techniques that I have applied in my work and in my everyday life. She is also a very flexible person and she taught me how to relax and to wake up my brain. I learned how to apply myself better through her and she helped me be able to be more confident and to wake up feeling better about myself. I may sound like Im rambling, but the lessons I learned from my time with her have had a great impact on me. I would most definitely recommend Megan Trow for educational consulting, tutoring, and as an academic coach.

Megan is warm, loving and extremely supportive in my daughters learning. She is patient with her frustrations, and always comes up with new ways to encourage and instill knowledge.
My 9 yo bilingual child is gifted but not getting enough school instruction in writing and grammar to support her creative writing. Megan patiently works with her in incremental steps to incorporate grammar, vocabulary and storytelling without it feeling boring at all. She looks forward to her sessions every week.

Meagan is probably the best tutor I’ve ever had. She’s proven herself able to change her schedule at the drop of a hat, and her firm but incredibly encouraging demeanor have only ever helped me for the better.

As a first-generation college student and daughter of farmworkers, the road to higher education seems unclear and at times, almost unreachable.
Fortunately, I met Megan at the beginning of my freshman year of high school. As she learned about my background and my dream of serving my community through medicine, Megan volunteered to mentor me.
As my mentor, Megan walked me through the college admission processes, edited my college admission and scholarship essays, and tutored me for the SAT exam. Hard work paid off as I obtained a full ride to Willamette University.
While at college, Megan continued to mentor and support me. Not only did she taught me about different studying styles, better time management habits, but she also edited my academic statements for research internships. Additionally, thanks to her extensive connections in the community, I obtained my first research internship in the biomechanics of gerontology.
Even though the road to graduation has not been easy, I will be graduating in the spring with a major in biochemistry and a double minor in biology and psychology. I recognize that this accomplishment is not only due to my hard work but also thanks to Megans guidance and support. Throughout the years, Megan not only became my mentor and tutor but also a caring and warm friend that pushes me to become a better person every day. It is a blessing to know Megan.
