About
I have extensive experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds from K-12 and beyond. I have experienced a peer-to-peer crisis interventionist on a national teen crisis line and also did anti-bullying work at middle and high school levels. I am passionate about mental health, psychology, neuroscience, and the broader social sciences.
I really like seeing the "ah-ha" moment for students. This gives me so much joy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am super open-minded and flexible to work with people from different backgrounds and tailor my approach to their individual style of learning. I am not a one-approach fit all kind of person. I like getting to know people, learn what they are passionate about, and make the experience more than just about "tutoring." I am all for good grades, but want them to really understand the concepts in principle and in application "life."
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as a psychology tutor in college for other college students as well as during high school for other high school students. I also worked in a Brain & Cognition Lab and I have presented my work at the American Psychological Association and Western Psychological Association.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes! I charge 30$/hour and I generally do either once or twice a week sessions online through skype or zoom. Monthly invoice conveniently paid through PayPal (no account needed).
