STEM Tutoring
About
I am an experienced biologist and teacher with tutoring abilities in math and science classes. Recently graduated from University of Washington with a degree in biology and environmental science, I have strong background and knowledge in math and science. I worked a teaching assistant for Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, a camp where I helped teach a class of 20 incoming high school freshman. Happy to help with AP classes, SAT/ACT prep, or any other relevant subjects.
Whether it's walking a student through a tough math problem, or watching a chemistry student grasp a critical concept, I enjoy tutoring because I am passionate about the subject matter. My job is not only to improve students' ability to succeed in a subject, but also to foster their enthusiasm in the material. STEM subjects are very broad, we can find something your student enjoys!

Frequently asked questions
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in a variety of environments, from middle school to college age. I have helped students with subects including many different subsets of math, science, English, Spanish. Last summer I taught biology to a classroom of 20 middle schoolers, which was very rewarding. Several of these students were ESL, and I believe this language barrier improved my teaching. I have even helped students learn to swim or play saxophone.
