About

About me
------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm currently a student at Oregon State University, studying music education, music performance, and electrical engineering. I'm very dedicated to my studies, and try to extract as much information as I can from the classes I take.

Qualifications
-----------------------------------------------------------------
For instrumental lessons, I can teach beginner level on all band instruments (brass, woodwind, or percussion!), intermediate level on trumpet, trombone, and tuba. My main instrument is euphonium, so I can teach up to a high level for that. Some of my lesson teachers include: Lars Campbell, JaTtik Clark, Andrew Harris, Isaac Andrews, and Bob Rutherford.
For mathematics, I can teach all the way through vector calculus.
Thanks to my experience in education through the music education program at OSU, I can apply these techniques to mathematics as well!

What I include
------------------------------------------------------------------
Regardless of topic, I will provide a customized lesson plan to help you succeed! This will be catered to your preferences, and your skill level, guarranteeing that you will progress.
I will provide constructive feedback, and I'm willing to answer any of your questions that you may have outside of our lesson time! Whether it be a question about music/math or a request for more material, I'll respond ASAP, free of charge. My main goal is to see you succeed in your studies!
------------------------------------------------------------------
I love seeing the development of my students, and watching them grow to love what they're studying. When they finally figure out a new concept in math, or when they finally figure out how to play that part on their instrument, it's extremely rewarding to see that. I hope to inspire those that I tutor!

Frequently asked questions
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you're looking to hire a teacher for music or mathematics, I'd say experience teaching is the key. Look for teachers that have a good track record, and have some credibility in their subject. Also, contact them if you have questions! If you're unsure about starting lessons with someone, contact them with any questions you may have prior to meeting.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would recommend keeping a list of the things you don't feel fully confident on, as well as a list of what goals you have. It doesn't have to be too much! This will just help me cater to your specific needs.
