About
My passion is teaching and tutoring all types of learners and I am so excited to work with you!
I graduated magna cum laude with my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in art. I am also on track to earn my master’s degree in teaching by June of 2019. Because of my educational background, I know many strategies for differentiated instruction to best suit the needs of the learners I work with. I have been tutoring in various settings for 6+ years, in a variety of subjects.
I tutor in a variety of ages and subjects, from kindergarten math to upper division college literature. I have been trained to work with students who have dyslexia and other reading hardships, and often find myself tutoring in humanities sujects like reading, writing and history.
I also love working with future college students with test prep and college admission processes. I have helped students be accepted to both public and private schools for undergrad and gradute programs. I also tutor students for the SAT, Praxis, CSET and various AP tests.
I absolutely love them moment when a student becomes confident on their own in a subject that they had previously struggled with. It is amazing to see how confidence and mindset can change the outcome of student readiness and ability. I hope to not only help students in a specific subject, but also in building confidence in their education and learning!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to talk with learners before the first session to determine their goals for tutoring and in what time frame thay want to acheive these goals. This way, I can determine if the student goals are realistic and an approximation of how much tutoring this may take.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am trained in teaching and have many resources from online educational help sites and worksheets. As mentioned in my biography, I am also trained to work with students who have dyslexia or other literacy difficulties and in appropriate practices to tutor and teach in online forums.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes! I charge an average of $20 per hour for typical tutoring lessons if done online, and $30 per hour for test prep and college admissions tutoring. In person, depending on location my base price starts at $25 per hour for typical lesson tutoring and $35 per hour for test prep and college admissions tutoring
How did you get started teaching?
I decided to go into my teaching career after tutoring my younger brother while I was in middle school. I then obtained my first job teaching swim lessons when I turned 16, and went through my formal education to teach during my undergraduate and graduate programs.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types or learners at all different ages! Some examples would be a first grade English language learner, and fifth grader having difficulty in math, a high school senior practicing for the SAT, and an adult deciding to continue their education who needed help with college admissions.
