- I have 20 years experience in education/academia
- I have tutored face-to-face and online
- I currently teach Mechanical Engineering in college
- I use to be a certified high school math/physical science teacher, letting it lapse when I started teaching college
- I have an ability to be able to make the "more techical" seem "more understandable".
- What drives me is seeing the look in a student's eyes when they learn something they thought was so hard to do. It almost seems like they are asking for more. That drives me to do even more for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
What I've seen work best is if the student has some work already done that we can go over. If not, I have some materials I can use as well. But, I would need to work with the student on these first to see what they are having difficulty with. For instance, I've been told students are having difficulty with fractions. But, what part of fractions? Everything about them? Adding/subtracting them? Multiplying/dividing them?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I use to be a certified high school math/physical science teacher, graduating with honors from IU-Southeast. I only let it lapse when I started teaching college. I still look to maintain my knowledge of education by attending PD sessions and programs.
