I was a college math, science, and history tutor for 3 and a half years before graduating with my degree in mechanical engineering.
The lightbulb switch that happens when you figure out a challenging school concept is an amazing feeling of accomplishment and builds confidence in yourself. As rewarding as being an engineer is, I miss helping people build that confidence in theirself and keep turning on those lightbulbs.
