Sargent Engineering And Math Tutoring
About
My name is Garrett Sargent and my passion is to inspire the next generation of engineers through teaching and mentoring. I feel this is best accomplished by one-on-one interactions with students who feel like they are not equipped to pursue their dreams in a STEM field. I specialize in engineering design, math, and computer science.
Previously, I have held a mentoring position with the University of Dayton Vision Lab where I led a team of undergraduate students to publish novel research to IEEE conference on computational intelligence in Hawaii. The research was on a brain machine interface, where we focused on converting brain waves to actions to be performed by a robotic arm (aka, a mind controlled robot). This same research also appeared on the Cincinnati Public Radio.

Currenlty, I am a Research Engineer for the University of Dayton. I have two undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, and am currenlty pursuing my PhD.
