About
Hello my name is Tatiana and I'm passionate about empowering students and helping them achieve academic success. Oftentimes a few additional hours outside of the traditional classroom is all it takes - and it makes all the difference! I have a B.S. in Biology from the United States Air Force Academy and a Masters in Healthcare Administration and Management from Colorado State University. Because of my technical background, I can teach most maths and sciences, however I have a pssion for writing and love to work with students here as well. Outside of tutoring, I am a Captain in the Air Force who enjoys traveling and snowboarding! I'm looking forward to working with you/yoir child and establishing your idea of success.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally I like to sit and talk with the student. I will let them get to know me and build comfortability. I like to know the subjects the students would like to go over beforehand, but this is absolutely not required. When we discuss the topics beforehand, I can create a lesson plan. I also like to listen to the student and understand how they feel about the specific topic(s) to guage their knowledge and their comfort level in an open, welcoming environment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring students for over 5 years. My B.S. in Biology gives me the technical background thay emcompasses math and sciences such as Algebra, Calculus, Enginnering basics, Biology, and Chemistry. I also have a Masters in Healthcare Administration and Management which has allowed me to lean heavily in the soft skills associated with reading, writing, paper analysis, proofreading and knowledge based on the healthcare system as well as program management.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The standard pricing is $25/hour per student.
How did you get started teaching?
I got into teaching because I love to see students learn. The lightbulb that illuminates when they grasp a concept warms my heart and motivates me to continue this work.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with K-12 students as well as college level students. Most of my students are in middle and high school, however.
