About

I work well with kids and young adults. I am very flexible with my hours and transportation. I have went to college for biological sciences and am currently in an online school for veterinary medicine so I have many experiences with science courses. Math, English, and science are my best subjects. I have done many peer reviews and edits on English papers and have even done one-on-one study groups.

I have been in the position where I have felt stupid for not understanding something due to the teachers teaching style. I was lucky enough to find a tutor that helped me get through it. I love seeing kids light up when they finally get it. The way they gain confidence and hope is a feeling better than anything.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to see how they study best. If they are more hands on or visual. I try to get them to communicate what they don't understand and how they feel would be best to help them. I use resources like Kahn academy to help explain in different ways and use positive reinforcement to encourage the student to keep going.

My pricing is usually $15-$30/hr but is negotiable based on location.

I have helped tutor kids from kindergarten to sophomores in college. I prefer working with k-8th grade but again am flexible.

Not everyone will teach the same way and not every student learns the same way. Find what works for you and don't ever think "I can't do this. I don't understand". You can do anything you set your mind to! With the right teacher and the right learning style you can do anything.

What am I not understanding? Is there something about the teachers teaching methods that I don't grasp? How can they help me better understand the lesson? Is there any additional resources I can try to help me understand?
