About

I have over 20 years of experience teaching Math to students of all ages and levels. Math has been my passion for my entire life, and it is my utmost desire to solve problems together with you and make sure you feel great at Math.

You can check some comments and ratings left by former students in one of the former tutoring platforms (Chegg) I worked with before: https://tutoringratings.davidalaverdiantutoringprofile.workers.dev

Note the 99% satisfaction rate out of nearly 300 students I've helped out there, and this is only one company I worked with. I have worked with probably over a thousand students in my Math tutoring career. My current professional employment lets me tutor also Russian-speaking students (this is my native language that exists along with my 100% English language proficiency) to help bridge the learning gap as they navigate the language hurdles in such courses as Math, English, Sciences, Social Studies, Finance, and more.

With a deep-rooted passion for the elegant logic, symmetry, and structured patterns of mathematics, I specialize in transforming complex quantitative concepts into engaging, intuitive, and accessible digital learning experiences.

My pedagogical approach is heavily inspired by a lifelong appreciation for structural discipline and analytical systems—principles famously woven through both classical music and advanced logic. I believe that mathematics is not merely a set of rules to memorize, but a beautiful language of patterns to explore. This philosophy directly drives my work as a content creator. I design educational materials that foster genuine deductive reasoning rather than passive rote learning.

To put these pedagogical theories into practice, I independently designed and developed WordCobra.com. The platform is an algorithmic logic game, built entirely from scratch using Vanilla JavaScript, which strips away the element of luck found in traditional word games, replacing it with a deterministic, structured matrix based on alphabetical permutations and numerical data points. I designed and programmed multi-tier difficulty modes (Basic, Advanced, Timed, Word of the Day, and Reverse) alongside a robust local storage framework that tracks scoring and speed diagnostics. Furthermore, I built organic student engagement hooks into the platform, including detailed performance statistics and an emoji-based sharing system. This project gave me firsthand experience balancing cognitive load with intuitive UI design to ensure users stay motivated and engaged.

As you can see, I have tremendous experience in breaking down logical reasoning tasks into clear paths required to solve a given problem, whether it is a challenging multi-step Math solution or an intricate programming web containing multiple lines of code.

Whether it is a nasty word problem that you are having trouble translating to mathematical expressions, or an intimidating mathematical term with exponents or fractions that you do not know how to simplify, I will help you love them and even laugh when you see them come up on your next test!

I can help you with Math both in my home location or online through Zoom meetings. Book me for an introductory session so we can talk about what strategies and timeline you have in mind for your learning goals. Thank for stopping by!
