Using my previous tutoring knowledge, I utilize unique methods to help a student understand information. Mathematics in general is an extremely advanced concept and one that is hard to get a grasp on. With my unique methods, I help students understand and enjoy math so they are driven to get higher grades.
I've tutored math for 3 years. It would be remiss to say that I've only had successful clients. However, through the experiences with unhappy clients, I've been able to fine-tweak my tutoring program so I make math engaging and understandable. Because of my love for math, I have no problem with staying past times and making sure clients have topics down pat.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first ask the student which class they have taken or what subject they would like to do, as well as the latest topic they covered in that class. Using this information, I'm able to narrow down their most probable curriculum in the class and create a short but informative diagnostic test. This makes sure that the student isn't misinforming what they don't know and that I cover the correct topics. I use the questions the student got wrong to have them talk me through their process. This allows me to see exactly where the flaws are and tailor my tutoring.
