About this tutor

I cater to each students' strengths and weaknesses and help make very challenge turn into a strength. I am very patient and make sure that before our session ends that you grasp the concept of what you learned that day.

I have about 20 years of experience teaching ages 4-adult in various subjects, especially music. I have a BA in Music Performance and an MBA in Music Business.

I love teaching! I have dreamed about being a teacher since age 7. Whatever I learn I want other people to learn. I especially love when someone who never knew a subject prior to our session ends up learning and grasping what was taught and enjoy it! That makes me happy!

She was very patient and understanding with me and made sure I had a grasp of the material. She helped me build up the confidence I needed and now I am going to persofm at my first open mic. I'm so excited, and I'm scared but I am sure that I will do well.

I like the fact that she teaches children and is patient.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Every new student fills out a student application and profile so that I can see what they are in need of, what are their strengths and weaknesses and then I assess those to see what is the next stages in their tutoring sessions.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

BA in Music Performance and MBA in Music Business plus about 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring ages 4 to adult.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Ages up to 12 pay $35 and ages 12 to adult pay $45 but they are negotiable and some changes may be made due to travel if it's more than a certain amount of miles or in another state.

How did you get started teaching?

I have been doing many facets of music since age 3 and have been interested in teaching other subjects since age 7. I always knew I wanted to teach everybody all that I know.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have taught and tutored groups and individuals ages 4 to adult.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Maybe a decade ago, I had a student that I worked with who was signed to universal records and I also tutored a three-man group who ended up recording an album.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would say make sure you really want to do this because some people start and stop and they don't get the goal they are looking for, especially if they miss sessions.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Am I really ready for this? Is this a passion of mine and will I dedicate the time and effort to do this?
