About
Hello, my name is Frank, a tutor from the Syracuse, NY area. I specialize in a number of subjects and would be more than happy to help you achieve your goals through better grades.
To tell you a little bit about me, I majored in Bioengineering and minored in Nutrition and Mathematics as an undergraduate at Syracuse University. From there, I also completed coursework in International Food Laws and Regulations at Michigan State University. Finally, I also graduated with my MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Northcentral University, where I was able to achieve a GPA of 3.97.
I enjoy working with a variety of students. I have been tutoring students for almost 20 years now and have worked with students from Junior High all the way to College.
I have taught and am certified to tutor/teach all of the subjects in my profile. Out of working with over 125 students in my tutoring career, I have yet to have 1 student fail. I have a wide knowledge base in all mathematics subjects as well as business, economics, and writing. In fact, I even assisted a student in helping a former student achieving a 790 on the math section of the SAT.
What separates me from most other tutors is my level of commitment and flexibility. If you choose to work with me, your success or the success of your child will be my first priority. I focus on individual attention, not tutoring as many people as I can. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring for me is to see someone have measurable results by the time we are done working.
My goal, when tutoring is to maximize your success by tailoring lessons to your learning style. Every student that I work with has a unique way of learning and I find it personally rewarding to see the students that I work with improve.
To conclude, I look forward to hopefully working with you in the future, I promise that you will not be disappointed and you will be satisfied with the results.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process when working with a new student is to become acclimated with their perceived weaknesses in a subject area. From there, I look to target the areas of the subject that the student feels weaker in by providing guided instruction in order to make them a more confident student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring students for nearly 20 years and have worked with over 400 students. With this, I know that everyone has a different learning style. I look to maximize student performance by focusing on providing instruction tailored to their learning style. I have both knowledge in the classroom as a teacher and knowledge as a tutor to separate me from the rest.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system. I handle every client on an individual basis and try to offer rates that are fair and affordable.
How did you get started teaching?
I was hired to teach high school mathematics upon graduating with my undergraduate degree and found it to be an extremely rewarding venture.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students both tutoring and in the classroom. I have worked with students studying to obtain their PhD, as well as elementary students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look at the choice of tutors that you have available and choose the tutor that you feel will put your needs or the needs of your child first. Choose the tutor who cares about the job that they do and the end result, or the performance of the student. This is what I focus on in my work and this is what I find most rewarding.
