I'm here to help students struggling with algebra by helping them find their strengths and confidence in math. I look to show and explain topics through multiple representations and questioning to help students gain a true deeper understanding of topics.
I love seeing a student gain confidence in math. Not only getting the right answer, but explaining how they know it's right without being prompted. That's how you know a student gets it and more importantly they know they get it!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to look at past data or regents exams that students have taken so we can work together to see what students already know, and what we should really be focusing on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I believe in what I'm doing and I believe in helping students and family so I'm always willing to consider what is appropriate for each family.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching after coming out of an unhappy career in business. I feel so lucky to have found my passion teaching math.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with gifted students, students with disabilities, students that love math and students that hate math. My goal remains the same, help students reach their maximum potential.
