What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by speaking with the classroom teacher to find out a baseline for the student's academics. I obtain test scores and any other information that the teacher can provide for me.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes I do. I charge $40/hr. and customers pay for tutoring in a block of eight sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in 2003 and have taught all grades K - 6 in Rochester City School District. Additionally, I have taught in a Special Education classroom as well as English for Speakers of Other Languages.
What questions should students think through before talking to tutors about their needs?
