Tatar Math Tutoring
About
I taught 7-9th grade math, I including high school Algebra, at a Churchville-Chili for 10 years before taking some time away from teaching to be home with my young kiddos. While teaching there I also coached the girls and boys varsity swim teams for several years and was the instructional leader for the 5-8 math department. I love math and I love working with kids!
I love teaching math to kids who need a little extra support to understand it. It is so exciting to see students get it, especially when it's a little more tough for them. Math is so important in the world and I love to show my students the connections that the math has in their world.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first meet with a student to get to know them, figure out what they need support with and then either work with their materials or bring/create my own for the session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo in Mathematics with a Adolescent Education Teaching Certificate. I then earned my Master's Degree from Nazareth College in Educational Technology. I taught at Chucrhville-Chili for 10 years and was the 5-8 Math Instructional leader. I stepped away from teaching for a little while to be home with my own kids but plan on going back as soon as my youngest is in Kindergarten.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $50 per hour but this can be negotiable depending on what the student is looking for in the sessions.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught in an alternative learning environment, an intervention setting and a 7th and 7th grade classroom. I have also tutored students in person and online.
