My child absolutely loved working with Hannah Gal. We had two bad experiences prior to working with butterfly effect tutoring. I cannot thank Hannah enough for my sons new interest in math and improved grades. We are so grateful. We may have a mathematician on our hands.

She effectively teaches my daughter the material she is having difficulty with.
She makes things easy to understand for my child. She also makes her feel confident about her knowledge after the sessions.
I would highly recommend her.

Frequently asked questions

I like to start by going over the student's most recent homework or exam with them to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. Then I present them with a problem or two to learn how they approach new questions and what their thought process is when solving a problem.

From there I work with the student tailoring my lessons and explanations to the way they think and the way they learn best.

I have a B.S. in Animal Sciences and a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from University of Vermont.

I started out as an assistant teacher at a religious school when I was in middle school. There I worked with students in first through third grade. In high school I taught swim lessons both privately and at day camps and began tutoring other students in my classes and continued all through college.
