I am a certified public magnet school teacher with over 15 years of experience tutoring privately. Currently teaching Geometry, Math Intervention and AP Calculus. Passionate about helping students make meaning of math, as opposed to just memorizing algorithms. Highly rated here and on other sites with strong refrrences available from parents (including Yale faculty members). Currently tutoring students in grades 2-12 and beyond.

I am orgionally from Southern Nh and graduated from Syracuse University in three years with my bachelors degree in 2012. Throughout college, I tutored mostly math, and decided I really liked teaching. After college, I moved down to Fort Worth and became certified as a teacher through TNTP, an excellent program that trains its students to teach specifically in low-income, inner city schools. I began teaching at a middle school in Fort Worth ISD, but decided to move to a high school in Inner-city Dallas my second and third year, because I felt I was more needed in that area than the school I was at. This past year, I moved back to southern Nh a

Friendly and relaxed, I use simple analogies to connect math theory to application. As my former students will attest, I also use humor to refocus the distracted and mentally exhausted. Math is the topic I have the most experience teaching, but I am also knowledgeable in Physics and Chemistry. My ideal student would meet weekly with me for formal lessons, and chat informally when doing homework. In other words, the lessons are structured to cover the material in the class, but the assistance with homework, preparing for exams, and just talking about life as a mentor 24/7 is included in the price.I'm a gamer and have ma

I meet with students using Google Meet, and will share my screen as I utilize Microsoft OneNote to write, draw, graph, etc.
You do not need to have OneNote, however I HIGHLY recommend getting it. If you desire I will add you to a private notebook and you'll be able to refer to it later at any time. Using the smartphone version of the app you'll also be able to quickly take pictures of physical papers or textbooks so that we can both work with the same document live in the OneNote notebook. It's pretty cool.
Please visit www.OneNote.com and download it for your preferred platform. Mobile, desktop computer, tablet, or chromebook.

I have been tutoring for over 10 years, starting my tutoring peers in high school. Since then I have graduated with a Bachelors in Mathematics and a Masters in Education. I still enjoy tutoring. While mathematics is a difficult subject for some students, I do not believe that it is an impossible subject for any. Mathematics can be very difficult for many, made even more so by how we are expected to continue into harder subjects even if we haven't mastered the basics. That's why I believe that sometimes in order to succeed in mathmatics, you may need to go back and review the basics. Just like sports and art, it come naturally to some but ever
