Michael Z Math And Science Tutoring
About
Very few tutors remember what it's like to learn something new. Feeling the frustration as if you're learning a new language, or not being able to memorize something no matter which way you try. I remember because Im still doing it now as a 2nd year medical student. That's why after 5 years of tutoring I know the strategies and concepts to not only teach any subject under math and science to a graduate level but also make sure it sticks without going through the frustration.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know the student while working with them and building a connection from the beginning. Overall let's face it when it comes to turning every minute counts and as much as I would love to spend the first five minutes of every session just getting to know the student that's time that could and needs to be used more effectively that's why I get know the student just by doing problems with them. After five years of tutoring experience I've learned how to understand who a student is just by watching them answer their first problem with me and from that I could base the session on their pace using a strategy I know would work for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
2 years of tutoring in trigonometry and geometry in classroom settings 1 year of college chemistry tutoring abd another 2 years of SAT math tutoring individually. I have a bachelor's in chemistry and am currentlyin my second year of medical school.
