With each tutoring session, I feel that I learn something new. I came into one particular session completely confused by what I was learning in class. But Daniel’s explanation of the topic and the follow up explanation video he sent after our session really helped me to understand and even get a perfect score on a subsequent homework assignment. I can tell that Daniel really cares about each of his students’ progress and success in math!

Daniel tutored my daughters in math for the SHSAT. He was very patient and kind with them. He went over different strategies with them for every section. He definitely gave them confidence to succeed on the test.

Frequently asked questions

I currently tutor mostly in person. Before sessions with students, I ask students to send me the material (specific topics or questions) that they would like to review so as not to waste time during the session itself.
I've been tutoring students for years. A few years ago I started pursuing it professionally to earn some income on the side while I study at Columbia. For computer science, I have real-world experience programming for a couple of startups.
Pricing starts at $40 per hour for any math and science. It increases to $45 for any Computer Science topics (as this is my specialty). It may include the travel time if I go to you. Satisfaction is guaranteed or you don't pay - That is, if you're ever unhappy with the quality of a lesson, you're not obligated to pay.
When the pandemic hit, a teacher of mine at the time asked me if I would be interested in tutoring her child for some extra cash. It went very well, so I purchased some proper camera equipment equipment and have been tutoring ever since.
I have worked with students studying for the SHSAT, Regents math, and general HS/MS math subjects. I've also taught a variety of computer science topics to high school students, college students, and adults.
