About
How many times have people been denied jobs becasue they do not have a degree? How many times does the snide look or comment from a friend or collegue destroy our confidence? How many times does our own lack of confidence in our skills hold us back? When people know they can master anything they do not shy away from opportunities. Education unlocks opportunities in life. Aliza Tutoring Service understands this and operates based off of this premise. Our goal is not continue a cycle of kids going to school because their parents tell them to, or because their friends are going. Our goal is to ensure that you or your child is completely able to get every single opportunity they can.
My favorite part is when my students really understands that they do not need to be the system in order to conquer it. They do not need to be a cookie cutter student, they do not need to understand everything the first time, they do not need to be the same as the top student in order to succeed. My favorite part is when my student finally gets that grades are just a step in the long life of opportunities ahead. Now, they just need to figure out a way to master those grades to get whatever they want in life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will start with a phone call to get prepared for the first session. In that phone call you will explain what you are looking for and we can developa plan to achieve that. Then, we get to work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated early from high school and participated in a fellowship at Yale University. Then I studied abroad for a year, during which I got my teaching certificate. Then I completed my degree in Psychology. I competed in Karate. I qualified to represent the US in the Maccabiah games at a blue belt (that is an intermediate belt). Then I won 3 silver medals at an Olympic Level, the largest amount of medals won on the entire US Karate team. I was a purple belt at the time. Then I came back to the States and got my Black Belt. Then I worked in Business for 4 years and made my way up the ladder until I was third in command (and the youngest person on the entire team). I managed people that were over 20 years older than me successfully (and hopefully humbly). Then, at 23, I started Aliza Tutoring Service because I understand how to create opportunities and achieve in your life. My job is to teach other people how to do that. The first step is not letting school beat you.
