About

Hi there! I'm a tutor with about five years' experience helping students with math through Calculus, editing narrative and expository writing, and devising effective study strategies that encourage students' independent growth.

Much of my tutoring experience involves general homework assistance and study planning with one student long term, making me uniquely qualified to supervise Learning Pods or oversee remote learning activities.

I would love to work with you and your family to ensure that your students get the most out of their education during these crazy times.

I'm certified with SmartHomeSchool Tutors - check out my profile! https://www.smarthomeschooltutors.com/tutor/profile/13221/

Seeing a student light up with the joy and satisfaction of understanding a new concept is truly delightful. I love helping people become confident in their abilities.

Our education system likes to tell people that they aren't smart sometimes, but I'm here to help you realize that you are. That's what makes me love tutoring.

Frequently asked questions

First, we'll go over what you're working on, what your goals are, what the problem areas seem to be.

Then, we'll try to address those problems. Maybe we go over another way to solve the same type of equation, maybe I'll teach you how to revise this bit of writing - every situation is different!

Finally, we go over steps you can take to make things easier in the future. Eventually, I want YOU to be able to tutor you. We'll go over study strategies and come up with a plan that will help you succeed in your classes.

I charge $30 per hour for private tutoring sessions.

For group learning pods, I charge an additional $2 per hour per additional student.

I got started tutoring my classmates in my AP Computer Science high school class. When I discovered how much I liked helping others learn, I quickly joined a local group of young tutors called Student Tutors. With that company, I worked with local students in a variety of subject areas from math to writing to general homework help.

Now, I tutor independently, but the passion I feel for it is just the same.

Last week I got a double scoop of ice cream from a local shop in BedStuy. Since I was a kid, I'd fantasized about two scoops, one on top of the other, nestled in a big crunchy waffe-cone. It was pretty awesome.
