I am a research scientist working in the field of granular physics and I love sharing my passion for math and science with my students!
I typically work with students in a university classroom setting but have experience teaching elementary to undergraduate level students remotely and in-person in one-on-one and small group settings. Everyone learns differently and each student's preferences should be embraced.
I have a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in Physics from the Pennsylvania State University. I am an instructor and researcher at the University of Nevada and have been working in the field of Earth science research and education for the last 7 years.

I like to understand the goals of each individual before beginning my work with a new student. If a student is looking for a short term tutor to help improve their chances on a single exam, we will discuss a list of topics that our work togther will focus on. If, instead, a student is looking for long-term improvement in a specific subject, then we will begin by creating a set of small attainable goals for students to achieve.
I have been working in science education and research for 7 years. I have worked in a variety of settings from classroom instruction, to one-on-one remote and in-person tutoring in both math and science.
