I am a passionate and unique educator. I will tailor my instruction to your personal needs based on a pre-assessment, and at various points of instruction, I will test you to see how you have grown in the areas we focused on. I am very flexible with learning styles and personal preferences for learning as well. I try to make learning a fun experience rather than a chore, and I love what I do!
I enjoy tutoring and teaching so much! I enjoy teaching students both academic and life skills, and I enjoy seeing students succeed. I also enjoy creating my own resources and materials for use because they are more creative and fun.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I will meet with the parent and child and then I will ask them several questions to narrow down our focus. After that, I will need some kind of reading and writing sample. I do this by giving students a prompt and seeing how they work through it outloud with me for writing. For reading, I often test their reading level and then give them common core based questions to assess their understanding of the text.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified k-12 English teacher in the state of NJ. I have been teaching in a classroom for 3 years and I have been a tutor for 6 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing varies depending on travel, however I start my tutoring sessions at $65 for a 50 minute session. I have proven results of improvement as well.
