Hi there and thank you for considering me as your tutor! :) I have a lifelong love of mathematics that I have recently committed to sharing as an instructor. Here's a little about me:
I have a BS in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY and 36 credits at the Masters level (15 in Sec. Ed., 12 in Mathematics and 9 in Computer Science). I have worked as a professional Mathematician and Software Architect for the majority of my career.
I especially enjoyed my work as a paraprofessional at our local high school. I spent my days helping students experiencing difficulty in mathematics classrooms (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry). In addition, I have tutored a variety of students - including teenagers, young adults, professionals and senior citizens - to meet their goals in mathematics.
I have taken Praxis I (Reading:185/Writing:180/Math:190) and Praxis II for Middle School Mathematics (Score:195). I have Statements of Eligibility from the State of NH for Alt 4 (Middle School Mathematics (5-8) and Secondary Mathematics (7-12)) and Alt 5 (Secondary Mathematics 5-12). All of this means that I am eligible to teach mathematics based on my education and professional experience and that I am "highly qualified" in mathematics.
