What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associate's degree in English education and am a year away from completing my Bachelor's degree. I am in a secondary English education program currently and am working as a preschool teacher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge about $13 per hour but I am willing to negotiate!
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved English and I have been very passionate about what I do. My English teacher in Highschool really inspired me and pushed me to become who I am today! I am eternally grateful for such a positive influence in my life.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many students all of whom are great! Some are just a little harder to work with than others. Every student needs a different approach to learning.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If a student was looking for outside help or a teacher to tutor them I would definitely say choose wisely! Choose someone who you will relate with and be able to learn from. You need to be able to follow along with them and keep up so you are able to grow.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think all looking for help should set themselves up for success. Try to identify the parts that you are struggling with so that I can know and better help you!
