Millesa Tutoring
About
I am currently a first grade teacher and my passion is to help students understand their curriculum to excel in school. I have worked with 4th and 5th graders as well, with some experience with 6th graders.
I graduated with an Education degree from Wake Forest University where I was a student-athlete understanding that academics were extremely important. I teach now at a Title 1 school where for most students, English is a second language. I feel this allows me to find creative and new ways to present information to students to help them comprehend.

Seek out what topic you are struggling with to see if the tutor has those strengths as well. Us teachers are good at many things but sometimes if we are not currently teaching a skill that a student needs we may need to refresh our own memory or suggest another tutor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make a list of what they are struggling with. Find out too what is expected from their teacher.
