Passionate learner and educator with 6+ years of experience in economics, computer science, mathematics, writing, history, and programming/app development. Invested in not only helping students achieve their goals, but also influencing them to become lifelong learners who understand the importance of education for their own success and for the welfare of society as a whole.
I meet my students where they are at and discover their preferred methods of learning to make them more interested in their course subject matters. I teach students how to learn better while also helping them navigate through whatever subject they have hired me to help them with. There is no one way to learn and I help my clients discover what methods work best for them, inspire them to grow in their studies, and encourage a lifelong curiosity in learning and personal growth.
Some special skills I possess are knowledge in computer science and programming, especially in Python, JavaScript/Typescript, Go Lang, C, and Rust. I have experience as a full stack software developer, entrepreneur, and writer as well as working experience in many various industries which displays my versatility as a tutor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introduce each other and what we personally like. Build the relationship around trust so I can be more effective as a tutor. I like to discuss where their struggling and their biggest issue is so we can set up a learning plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Consulting with businesses on marketing. I have to teach business owners new software systems and ways to reach customers. It is very much like being a tutor. I also have done personal tutoring with local students of people I know.

How did you get started teaching?
With my business about 4 years ago. With consulting I also found a market for tutoring with families that I knew. I helped a lot with math and accounting.

Make sure they are willing to show up on time and listen well. They also need to be non-judgmental about your learning needs.
