Why Students and Parents Choose Me...
1) Proven academic results
For the students I tutor over the course of a semester, the vast majority—nearly all—earn an A in their math course, provided they work with me consistently and put in their part of the effort.
2) Professional classroom experience
I'm a former high school mathematics teacher at an International Baccalaureate (IB) magnet school, working with students in rigorous academic programs.
3) Experience Supporting Different Types of Learners
Over 11 years of tutoring, I’ve developed strong experience working with students with ADHD, autism, test anxiety, and other learning differences. I’m patient, adaptable, and skilled at adjusting how I explain concepts so each student can understand the material and make steady progress in math.
____________
My goal is simple: I genuinely love helping students understand math! When students really learn how the ideas work—not just memorize steps—it strengthens their thinking and gives them skills that help them navigate challenges far beyond the classroom.
Many students struggle in math not because they aren’t capable, but because the concepts were never explained in a way that clicked. My teaching approach focuses on identifying where a student’s understanding breaks down and strengthening the underlying ideas that make the material work. Once those foundations are clear, the concepts students are trying to learn usually start making sense.
Students don’t need to be naturally “good at math” to work with me. The only thing I ask is that they come willing to try, ask questions, and put in the effort to learn. If that sounds like a good fit, I’d be happy to hear from you—feel free to reach out and we can talk about how I can help.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
There are several avenues we can take...
Normally, if you have a specific topic(s) you'd like to work on, you can let me know a head of time and I will bring appropriate materials that we need to optimize the tutoring time.
If you just want general help with a subject, that's fine too! We can have you complete a course-specific diagnostic test to best determine which topics we should focus on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taught more than 30 students in math courses and other quantitative subjects. Sometimes I see dramatic changes in a students conceptial understanding—turning their "D" grade into an "A" by the end of the semester.
All of my students have seen improvements in their math grades.
