About
I have over seven years of experience as a tutor in math. I worked with students of all ages and all subjects including algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry, and essential concepts from elementary and middle school math. I have also worked for nearly 4 years as an instructor at Mathnasium.
During these unprecendented times, I would love to be a virtual resource for students who may be struggling with online math classes!
I will be graduating in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start out with a diagnostic exam based on the level of math they are currently working in. I think it is also important to discuss what issues the student has and where they personally think they need to improve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a self-employed tutor for four years before I began working seasonally at Mathnasium.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lessons begin at $20 per hour for elementary school math and increase through high school math and standardized testing (SAT/ACT) preparation.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always really enjoyed math, so the summer before my first year of high school, I decided to try out tutoring and I have loved it ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
While I was self-employed, I mainly worked with middle and high school students. However, I have worked with students in every single grade as a tutor at Mathnasium. I also really enjoy doing SAT and ACT prep.
