I have over seven years of experience as a tutor in math. I worked with students of all ages and all subjects including algebra, calculus, statistics, geometry, and essential concepts from elementary and middle school math. I have also worked for nearly 4 years as an instructor at Mathnasium.
During these unprecendented times, I would love to be a virtual resource for students who may be struggling with online math classes!
I will be graduating in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She was so personable, professional and patient! She made me feel like i could get through anything and my math grades dramatically improved since I began working with her!
Ms. Gullet is very attentive and she is always aware of the needs of who she is tutoring! She takes the time to make sure the concept is learned and gives numerous examples so that there is no confusion!
Lauren rally helped when I was struggling with math 1. I was able to catch up to where the rest of class was. She even helped me get an A on my final!! I would highly recommend!
I like to start out with a diagnostic exam based on the level of math they are currently working in. I think it is also important to discuss what issues the student has and where they personally think they need to improve.
I was a self-employed tutor for four years before I began working seasonally at Mathnasium.
My lessons begin at $20 per hour for elementary school math and increase through high school math and standardized testing (SAT/ACT) preparation.
I have always really enjoyed math, so the summer before my first year of high school, I decided to try out tutoring and I have loved it ever since!
While I was self-employed, I mainly worked with middle and high school students. However, I have worked with students in every single grade as a tutor at Mathnasium. I also really enjoy doing SAT and ACT prep.
