Quality One-on-one Math Tutoring Services
About
I know that math can seem difficult to most students. But I'm here to help them to learning how to do difficult things and do them well. Just because something is hard, doesn't mean it's impossible to overcome it! In fact, some of the most difficult things in life are worth it! Let's grow together!
I enjoy helping students to develop problem solving skills as they work through their math problems. I also enjoy helping to build their confidence in learning new and somewhat challenging concepts. I appreciate figuring out ways to articulate math concepts in a way that speaks to individual students and helping students to develop a more positive outlook to learning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by establishing the goal of tutoring with the parents/guardians. Based on this goal, I meet with students each week and ensure that they understand the concepts they are learning, answer any questions they may have and may give additional study material as necessary to solidify or improve areas of concern.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematic Education and received certification to teach math in grades 6-12. I've worked with students from 6-12th grade and taught 7-8 grade math in Georgia. I have served as a tutor for almost 10 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
How did you get started teaching?
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from fourth grade to graduate level in math. I have also worked with students who are in homeschool, private schools, and public school settings.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who is both passionate about what they are doing and does a good job breaking down challenging concepts in a manner in which you understand it. You also want to work with a tutor who is patient and helps to build your confidence in learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do I need a tutor? What goal do I want to accomplish by getting a tutor.
