Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I give some fundamental problems to solve and understand their level in the subject. Then I make a plan and share the plan with them. If they like the plan then I start to teach accordingly. Sometimes students may suggest their plan and we can decide what will be better to start.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am doing Ph.D. in mathematics at UNC Greensboro by which I am gaining more confidence in lower level mathematics.
How did you get started teaching?
Initially, I started to teach mathematics as a private tutor. Later on, I got a job to teach mathematics.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many types of students. Some of them are very good at the subject and some of them are very weak in the subject. The teaching methodology for each student should be different.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I like to teach to the students who really want to learn. They can be already good or weak in mathematics, it does not matter. They should have an interest in learning.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do not search the tutors depending on the cost of each class. See their qualification and current work they are doing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students must be clear about their needs and try to figure out to fulfill their needs.
