Seth’s Math Tutoring
About
I am a Computer Science and Mathematics Education student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I served as a Mathematics Teacher Assistant during my Junior and Senior year of High School- tutoring Math 3, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
Education is empowering- and an integral part of my identity. I love pushing students past their pre-fabricated limits and watching them succeed in all faucets of life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student is diverse and different! A no cooker-cutter approach is used for every new student- meaning each student displays their learning style and I revise my teaching methods to fit their needs. I envision teaching as a boat and sail relation: The student is the boat and I am the sail. A sail too big can be overpowering; A sail too small is inefficient. I must meet the demands of the boat!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently studying Computer Science and Mathematical Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have completed the calculus series and will- hopefully- serve as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant in the mathematics department in the spring. I have also served as a Mathematics Teacher Assistant during my High School career.
