Kelvin Elem Teacher

I have a total of 9 years of teaching experience. Six years of my experience were in Kenya, where due to my passion and diligence at work, I was promoted to the level of Assistant Principal. I also have one year of experience as an elementary school teacher in 5th grade Math and Science, and 3 years of teaching experience as a middle school EC instructional assistant in the United States. While working as an instructional assistant, I was awarded twice as Instructional assistant of the year at Norwayne Middle School.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University, an Associate degree in Science from Wayne Community College, and a Diploma in Education and Counseling, Arts from Kenya Methodist University. While working on my degree I have had an opportunity to do my training as a student teacher, which has given me hands-on experience in dealing with diverse learners..

I am capable of adapting my lesson management and instructional strategies according to the diverse and specific needs of individual learners. I’m passionate about teaching and understand the importance of shaping students’ minds and leading them in the direction to help them establish and meet their life goals.

My goal is to work with students and assist them in achieving their life goals by creating an inclusive and safe learning environment full of interaction and positive energy.
