Shameika McArthur

My name is Shameika McArthur. I am graduate of Fayetteville State University (FSU). I reviewed my BA degree in 1999. During my college years I volunteered at a daycare located on the campus of FSU. I did a internship the summer of my junior year, I was assistant teacher. The summer program to help students pass to the next grade level. In college I took classes for education and part of my grade I had to work in elementary class. The internship, working classroom helped me become a preschool teacher. I becamed a teacher at the same daycare I volunteered at. I taught four/ five years old and prepare them for kindergarten. I also tutored some of students at their house. I decided to become a tutor now to help students achieve their goals. To help students accomplish their goals, I am going back to school to receive a Masters Degree in Education. Every year the state of N C changes the curriculums, rules and regulations for all schools. With the support of parents, I can help a student be successful.
