Sunny Sunflower Learning

I am a recently retired 6th grade teacher. With 30 years of teaching experience through preschool, homeschooling my own children and teaching middle school and high school, I have taught a lot of students and subjects. I have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development. Over the 30 years,I have attended professional development and continuing education classes. My goal is to ensure that I am using the most effective techniques for my students. I could easily give the student the answer, but it would hinder the student more than help. I like to ask questions in order for the student to do critical thinking and to solve the problem or come up with the answer on their own. I specialize in math, reading, spelling, writing, and history. As a tutor, I welcome parent feedback, their goal for their student, and for the student to feel comfortable and excited to learn.
