I am a highly engaging educator with 21 years experience working with students age 5-18 both in the classroom and in tutoring scenarios. I can provide tutoring online using Zoom and have tools to help students work through the mathematics.
I love watching students and their expression when they finally unlock the code to mathematics. Math is not as far from reading as one might think. Once you learn to decode then you can encode for meaning and multiple applications for a mathematical procedure. It really is a beautiful thing!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have the student send me a list of topics they are or will be working on. Since math builds skills on one another, knowing the end goal can help set short term goals to maximize success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have five degrees and six certifications aligned to education in North Carolina.
