My name is Ava-Gaye Blackford-Webb, and I am a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience teaching in both Jamaica and the United States. I currently teach fifth grade in North Carolina and am committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that help every student reach their full potential.

I hold a Diploma in Primary Education, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership. I am also licensed in Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) education and English as a Second Language (ESL). I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, where my research focuses on improving literacy outcomes for English language learners through evidence-based practices.

Beyond the classroom, I believe in servant leadership and giving back to my community. I enjoy participating in community initiatives, supporting youth development, and advocating for educational equity. My Jamaican heritage, strong family values, and faith continue to shape who I am and inspire me to lead with compassion, integrity, and purpose.
