I have a certificate to substitute teach. I REALLY enjoy helping children gain confidence! The look of pride, joy, and excitement on their faces is priceless. I truly believe that children deserve the chance to learn at their own pace and a little extra help never hurts. I have helped children of family and friends reach their grade level and above in reading, language and math. I have volunteered at the local elementary school for several years.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet with the student and parents (guardian) to establish what goals they want to set. I will have the student show me what they are able to do comfortably. We will then try different techniques to find one that will work best for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a certificate to substitute teach. I have volunteered for many years at the local elementary school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My fee is $25 for 60 minutes or $15 for 30 minutes. I am lenient with the time limit. If the student is in the process of working on something, I will not cut them off. I do not worry about a few extra minutes.
