Math/Physics Tutoring For Middle School And High School, Mpls Area
About
I provide academic help from a student's perspective. In my schooling, I have been on the receiving end of personable and professional teaching which I translate into effective tutoring. Further, my learning methods have yielded good results for myself and I am eager to help and guide students.
If numbers are of interest: GPA-3.97, ACT-36, four 5's on APs (Physics 1, English Literature, English Language, AP Calc AB), a 4 on AP Latin, and more pending scores
I love the "eureka" moments. It's gratifying to know that I was able to help someone through a confusing problem and even more exciting to see them engage further with their newfound understanding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For me, it's important to first understand where the student stands in relation to the subject. I want to make sure that the guidance I am providing is focused and direct. Likewise, I prefer to have as much understanding of the student's formal learning in the topic as possible in order to hone my tutoring.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have very limited formal experience with paid tutoring, but I have spent time working on academics with peers, younger students, and younger family members.
With regard to my education, I am a recent graduate of Blake High School. I have had the opportunity to be thoroughly taught in all of the areas that I have listed in my tutoring subjects.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My procedure on pricing is reflective of my lack of formal paid experience. My prices aren't set and they will depend on the subject that I am teaching, but I am very receptive and understanding of price preferences.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would recommend finding a tutor who is not only proficient in the subjects but also cognisant of what being a student means. In my experience, the best teachers are those who are excited about teaching students, engaged in their area of focus, and understand the mind of a learning student.
