It is my main Focus subject I am currently about to go to geometry AA which is basically geometry A but really fast paced in my future, I do plan on going to statistics or AP geometry

I am senior at the University of Minnesota pursuing an individualized degree in mathematics and health informatics. I have two summers of experience in nannying and tutoring children ranging from first through eighth grade. I enjoy learning and want to help others succeed. My goal is for students understand the topics they are learning based on the methods that work best for them. I am organized, flexible, and dedicated to my work. I recognize that math gets a bad reputation, and many people are under the misconception that they are just not a "math person." When I was younger, I thought this way of myself too. I worked in Macalester's Tutoring Center as a math tutor for 2 years and in the Math and Statistics department as a teacher's assistant. I am a CRLA certified tutor. My approach to tutoring is to be encouraging and supportive to help students understand that math is hard but they are not alone.
