About
I have been a high school math teacher in New York City for 7 years and loved every minute of it. I have taught Algebra I, Geometry and Alegbra II, but my preference and love is for Algebra I. I have achieved a 90% pass rate on the Algebra I New York State Regents Exam. I have a master's in education.
I also have a Special Education background and a lot of experience teaching a variety of learners. I love working with students, am extremely patient, and excited to help your student succeed!
I am currently pursuing a second masters degree at the Univeristy of Michigan and have a pretty flexible schedule.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first session is spent getting to know your student - a student is able to learn best when they feel connected and can trust the person they are working with. We will play a few getting to know you games, I will ask them questions about their relationship with school/the subject we are working on, set goals, and ask them to complete a baselines assessment so I better understand his/her academic needs and strenghts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in education and have been teaching in a NYC school for the past 7 years. I have taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, college counseling, and small support classes for struggling learners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
