About
Hello! My name is Ian and I am happy you chose to read a little bit about me! I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a degree in Secondary Education. As a working educator, I thoroughly enjoyed inspiring students and helping them achieve all of their personal and academic goals. I worked at a few of Michigan's top public schools and was encouraged to teach a talented group of tenth graders an accelerated world history course over the summer.
As an undergraduate student, I pledged Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity and was also inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. I was active throughout the community engaging in many hours of community service and participated in several community outreach events.
Following graduation from UofM (GO BLUE!) I pursued an MBA from Wayne State University. My concentration was in Information Systems Management with a focus on coding and software development. My former professor, Dr. Heinrichs, can attest to my computer competency as I had the good fortune of working alongside him while taking a pilot course titled "Software Development using Swift."
One of my many natural talents is in learning how to read, write, and speak more than one world language. In fact, I am a self-proclaimed trilingual; I am near fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and Hebrew.
Throughout my life, I have had the blessing of being both a national and an international traveler. I always feel empowered to look at life in a positive light and encouraged to approach new experiences with an open mind whenever I travel to underdeveloped nations or unfamiliar places.
My bucket list is quite extensive of things that I would like to try or perform at some point in my life. The two most preferred things to do on my bucket list are: (1) travel to the Kalahari Desert and go on a private safari tour and (2) scuba dive with sharks in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
