About

Hi, my name is Kevin and I'm a student at the University of Michigan! I have had professional experience teaching students from elementary to high school at the Kumon and Mathnasium learning centers. When teaching, I like to provide personalized lesson plans to help my students understand rather than memorize. My goal is to help students build solid foundations in math and science that will improve their learning down the road as well. Please message me if you have any questions!

I love seeing the "Aha!" moment that students have when they are struggling on learning a difficult topic and then something clicks and they understand it. I really enjoy guiding students to their "Aha!" moments and seeing them start understanding how all of their learning fits together.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, I will start by giving students supplemental lessons on what they are learning in class. Branching off from this point, we may backtrack and work on more basic topics to build up to the school's lessons or, if the student is a quick learner, we could move onto more advanced topics to expand the student's knowledge.

I have worked as an instructor at the Kumon and Mathnasium learning centers. In my academic career, I have completed math coursework up through Calculus 4 and taken AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and University level Physics: Electricity and Magnetism.

I had an amazing teacher for my AP Calculus BC class who helped us actually understand math rather than memorize formulas. She greatly improved our grasp of the complex topics and also helped us really enjoy math. Her teachings inspired me to want to help other students understand math as she did for us.
