Math Made Easy
About
I have been working with students for 17 years. I have found that my technique of teaching to the student has been very effective in helping my students learn and apply the objectives. I have been very successful in helping students grasp and understand Math.
I am a Home/Hospital Teacher and Substitute for 3 different school systems in the area so I have had a variety of exposure to Math subjects with different curriculum.
I enjoy working one on one with students. I like when a student realizes that they can understand Math!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see where the student is having trouble and understand what I can do to help them on an ongoing basis. I look at the students current grade report to see what areas I may need to go back and reinforce before moving on to the current and future topics in their Math class. I like to keep track of where the student's class has been, is at, and is going so that I am effectively able to help them learn all the material and keep up with, if not ahead of, their class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Home/Hospital Teacher in 3 school systems for 17 years and a Substitute Teacher for 8 years. I have been working predominantly with students in their Math courses.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing structure starts at $50/hour and I work via Webex conferencing so that the student can see my work on the screen via whiteboard while we are working. This pricing structure is supported in the area I live in. I am willing to be flexible depending on the area that the student lives in.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching via Home/Hospital Teaching in my children's school district 17 years ago. I found that I enjoy working one on one with children to help them undersand Math.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types of students, all ages, all grades, many student with IEP's and 504 plans.
